The annual McDonald's Running Festival incorporates the Townsville Airport Marathon, the Half Marathon, the 7 News 10km Classic, the McDonald's 2.5km Hero Run, the Townsville Bulletin 5km Junior Run, the Queensland Country Health Fund 5km Corporate Challenge, the Kennards Hire 5km Fun Run and the Marathon Relay. An event that captures the hearts and enthusiasm of all ages, the McDonald's Townsville Running Festival also gives back to our local community, generously supporting over 18,000 North Australian families who require the support of Ronald McDonald House North Australia, every single year.

Ronald McDonald House North Australia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing vital programs for families with seriously ill children. All funds contributed to Ronald McDonald House North Australia remain and directly support families in the North Australia communities

About Our Chapter

Ronald McDonald House North Australia opened our, state-of-the-art Ronald McDonald House adjacent to Townsville Hospital in 2004, offering a safe place to stay for over 100 people a night. Through our accommodation and support services, we strive to keep families together when life gets turned upside down due to a child’s illness.
