For more than 20 years, Run! Ballantyne has been a tradition that brings people together, neighbors, families, coworkers, and friends, moving with purpose through the heart of our community.
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the 22nd Annual Run! Ballantyne 8K, 5K, and Fun Run, presented by Northwood Office, returns to Ballantyne. With more than 1,400 participants in 2025, this YMCA signature event continues to grow—reflecting a community committed to showing up for one another and striving for something greater.

Race for Every Pace
Run! Ballantyne offers multiple course options through Ballantyne Corporate Park and new greenway connections—welcoming runners and walkers from beginner to expert
8K Run: Take on Run! Ballantyne’s signature distance (4.97 miles) —perfect for seasoned runners or anyone ready to push themselves a little further in pursuit of something greater.
5K Run/Walk: A community favorite and an ideal distance for beginners, walkers, or runners chasing a new personal best.
Fun Run: Short, energetic, and full of joy! A family-friendly option, perfect for kids, first-time participants, and anyone who wants to be part of the excitement without the pressure.
All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal, and participants are invited to keep the celebration going with a post-race party at The Amp, featuring a live DJ and festivities at the Ballantyne Bowl.

Refund Policy
- Due to the fundraising nature of YMCA of Greater Charlotte fundraising events, race registrations are non-refundable & cannot be deferred to a future year.
- Making this event happen in person is a priority, but Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions.
- Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God".
