KidsCan GlowRun

Be part of something bright and meaningful at the very first KidsCan GlowRun! This brand-new, light-filled event is all about bringing families and communities together for a night of fun while raising vital support for Kiwi kids. As a GlowRun volunteer, you’ll be part of the team bringing this exciting event to life for the very first time.

By volunteering you’ll enjoy some great perks, including access to the Volunteer Lounge, where you can store your belongings and enjoy some delicious treats during your shift. Volunteers whose shifts are outside of event hours will receive a free ticket to participate in the GlowRun themselves. If your shift takes place during the event, you’ll receive a ticket to pass on to a friend or family member so they can join the fun. Most importantly, you’ll be part of an incredible community effort helping ensure Kiwi kids have the essentials they need to thrive.

Set Up Crew* 9am – 4pm
Help bring GlowRun to life by setting up around the stadium and getting everything event-ready before the fun begins.

Goodie Bag Packing Crew 11am – 3pm
Pack the glow-inspired goodie bags and help get participant treats organised and ready to go.

Parking Crew 3pm – 8pm
Keep arrivals running smoothly by helping manage parking for staff, sponsors, and VIP guests.

Welcome and Registration Crew 3pm – 9pm
Be the friendly face of GlowRun by welcoming participants, checking tickets, and helping everyone get where they need to go.

VIP Glow Lounge Crew 3pm – 9pm
Create a warm, welcoming experience for our VIP guests by helping keep the Glow Lounge running smoothly.

Event Support Crew* 3pm – 10pm
Jump in where needed across the event, supporting teams, solving problems, and helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

Course Support Crew 5pm – 10pm
Be part of the action on course by guiding participants, supporting safety, and keeping the energy high from start to finish.

Pack Down Crew* 8pm – 12am
Help wrap up the event by packing down equipment and clearing the venue after the final runners have crossed the line.

* These crews are only suitable for volunteers over the age of 16. For those who are under the age of 16 you are welcome to sign up to any other crew but will need to have a registered volunteer who is over 16 signed up with you.

A few things to note:

- All volunteer shifts are at Eden Park, in various spaces throughout the venue.

- Your shift may end earlier based on how busy your crew is.

- If a crew is no longer listed on the sign up sheet that means we have already had an amazing group of volunteers allocated to those jobs and you can pick another one!

A note: due to limitations on our volunteer platform there is a mandatory question on our registration form which asks for your gender with a male or female option. We are working to have this removed and apologise for any discomfort this causes. There is an additional question lower on the form asking for your preferred pronouns so we can address you in the correct way. Please rest assured that this is an inclusive event where all volunteers are welcome and appreciated.
