Our story…
This year marks a very special milestone for our family, our sweet JJ Boy would be turning 10 years old. To honor his memory and the pure light he brought into our lives during his 14 months with us, we are turning our love into action.
Each year, we choose a meaningful way to celebrate JJ’s legacy. For his 10th birthday, a story very close to my heart inspired a special shift in our mission.
This past year in my third-grade classroom, I had the privilege of teaching an incredible student named Kennedy Bailey. Recently, Kennedy and her sister Berkeley were diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD).
Because Kennedy is also turning 10 this year, I felt deeply called to connect JJ’s 10th birthday milestone with Kennedy and Berkeley’s journey. Their family has joined hands with Walk On LGMD, an organization dedicated to driving awareness, advancing treatments, and ultimately finding a cure for LGMD. Because MD impacts muscle strength and mobility, we are dedicating our miles to help the Bailey Family.
