My Story…
I’m taking part in the Hike for Hospice this May in Okotoks to support the incredible work of Foothills Country Hospice. A place that provides compassionate, dignified end of life care and support not just for individuals, but for their families too.
This event is more than just a walk/run. It brings our community together to raise vital funds so that people facing life limiting illness can receive care, comfort, and respect when they need it most. Hospice care ensures that no one has to face those moments alone, offering not only medical support, but emotional and grief care for loved ones.
Each year, hundreds of people come together for this hike, raising tens of thousands of dollars to support these essential services, showing just how deeply this cause resonates in our community.
To me, this is about showing up for others in one of life’s most vulnerable times. It’s about compassion, community, and making sure that care is available when it matters most. Every step taken and every donation made truly makes a difference.
