Volunteers
We are excited to bring Wings Over the Rockies Space Race 5K to the community and we know we couldn't do it without generous people like yourselves! We have volunteer opportunities for families, individuals, and small groups. Below is a list of the main roles we are recruiting for, but there's always that chance for a last minute, mission critical duty, so we appreciate your flexibility!!
- Course Commanders (Course marshals) - help out on course ensuring participants stay on course, and of course cheer them on as they pass!
- Launch Prep Team (Reg/Bib Pickup) - help registrants as they check in to pick up their race bib and event shirt
- Finish Line Flight Crew (finish line support) - assist with duties like distributing finish line medals, water, refreshments...
- Hydration Station Astronauts (water station) - hand out water to participants out on course
- Moon Base Assistants - assist as needed with festival area activities
On the sign up form, we've indicated the approximate start and end times for each role. An email with final instructions, check-in time and location, will be sent in the final week prior to event day.
