Every Step Sends Life-Saving Flights

Pendo was only 25 weeks pregnant when a routine check-up revealed a life-threatening emergency. Her amniotic sac had ruptured, fluid levels were dangerously low, and both her life and the life of her unborn baby were at risk.

The specialized care she needed wasn't available in her cut-off community in Tanzania.

That’s when the emergency call came.

Within minutes, an MAF aircraft was in the air. Racing against approaching storms, pilot Peter landed on a small rural airstrip where Pendo and her medical team were waiting.

Just over an hour later, she arrived at a hospital in Arusha where specialists performed an emergency C-section - saving both mother and child.

One flight. Two lives saved.
