About the event
We will again take to the cart paths of the beautiful Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club, starting and ending at the Club House. This event will feature three distances - run the Front 9/5K, the Full 18/8K and the 1 Mile Survivor Walk. The event started as a tribute run held in memory of Kathy Maxwell who lost her battle to sarcoma cancer on December 14, 2012. When the cancer reached her spine her family reached out to Barrows Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. The staff there were able to manage her pain and give her another year with her husband and daughter and to watch her grandchildren grow.

Now in our 14th year we have raised over $405K for cancer research and it has grown into more than just a tribute to Kathy. It is now a tribute for so many others who run in memory of someone they lost. Please consider joining us this year and running in memory of someone you lost or run to raise money for an amazing organization that is helping so many fight their own battles.

Mail-in and Virtual Run Registration
To register by mail please complete and return our Mail-in Registration Form! Please make checks payable to StartLine Racing. Mail-in registrations will be accepted until September 14, 2026.
Can't make it to this year's event but still want to participate? This event features a virtual option. A virtual race is a race that can be ran at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. You can run your race at your pace wherever you like. All virtual race participants will receive a custom event finisher's medal and custom event dri-fit tech t-shirt. Please note that your shirt and medal will be mailed out following the event on September 19, 2026. Prior to the event all virtual participants will receive an email with instructions on how to submit your time.

On Course Remembrance Sign
Would you like to have a special remembrance sign placed along the course on race day to remember a loved one? For $15 we will have a 12" x 18" sign placed on the race route. The $15 will cover the cost of the sign and all remaining money will be donated to The University of Arizona Cancer Center. No money will be kept as profit from this purchase. Once you have completed your purchase please email info@startlineracing.com with the text you would like included on the sign.

Race Day Information
Race Day Registration will be available beginning at 6:00am at Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club.
We accept cash, and credit cards on race day. (Checks are no longer accepted)
PLEASE NOTE - Your swag size is not guaranteed for those who register on race day.
Race day registration fees will be:
- 8K - $50
- 5K - $45
- Walk - $30
We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons.
Bicycles, roller blades/skates, skateboards or motorized devices are not allowed on the run or walk courses.
Please no pets allowed on the course
Limited parking will be available at Silverado Golf Club with overflow parking available across Indian Bend Road at the Seville Office building located at 7001 N Scottsdale Road. There will be a shuttle available starting at 6:00am to take you to and from Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club. This parking lot is 0.5 miles to the starting area at Silverado. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN AND AROUND THE CONDOMINIUMS. THE HOMEOWNER'S ASSOCIATION HAS INFORMED US YOU WILL BE TOWED.
This event will take place rain or shine. There are no refunds or transfers due to weather.
