The Prairie Inn Harriers Running Club is pleased to present the 39th Annual HARRIERS ELK/BEAVER ULTRAS.
Saturday, May 9, 2026, Victoria, BC
The fast and flat 10 kilometre trail circuit around Elk and Beaver Lakes is considered as one of the premiere races of its type in North America. Runners complete 10 laps for the 100K division, 8+ laps laps for 50 Miles and 5 laps for 50K, while walkers complete 4 laps for 40K.
The race attracts some of the elite Ultramarathoners from Canada and beyond. It is an excellent qualifier for 100 Mile events such as Leadville, Angeles Crest or Wasatch Front. The course is accurately measured and certified splits are available every 10 kilometers. You will not find a flatter trail ultra anywhere in Canada - P.R. material!. You'll find great organization, support, hospitality and race services.

Individual Adult memberships are just $25. Benefits include discounts at our other events, including the Summer Parks Challenge, Fall Thetis Lake trail series, and the Pioneer 8K.
Location Update
The Start / Lap / Finish venue will be at our alternate Hamsterly Beach site at the north end of Elk Lake about 4km along from our usual Filter Beds site at the south end of conjoined Beaver Lake as that site is unfortunately unavailable to us this year. Hamsterly Beach is accessible from Brookleigh Rd a few hundred metres from the Sayward intersection on the highway.
There is a paved parking lot, washroom building, play area, beach and grassy fields to set up your personal aid area. Unfortunately there is no shelter and fewer picnic tables. We will have a few 10x10' pops-up and an aid table. There is good tree cover adjacent.
The 10km race course loop uses the same trails as before. For the 50 Mile the short extension will be different and come after the eighth lap to allow for accurate intermediate splits every 10km.
