EVENT DETAILS
The Tideline Classic presented by Foundation Rehab invites runners of all levels to experience the beauty of Campbell River as they race along our iconic Seawalk! Set against sweeping ocean views, rugged shoreline, and fresh coastal air, this celebration of movement and community showcases one of Vancouver Island’s most beloved waterfronts. Whether you’re pushing for a personal best or enjoying the journey, the Tideline Classic will offer memorable race-day experience for all ages!
In its inaugural year, the Tideline Classic will be celebrating the grand opening of Foundation Rehab’s new location across from Ken Forde Park. Race entry includes a waffle breakfast, swag bag, post-race snacks and an invitation to explore the collaborative space created by Foundation Rehab and Elevate Sports - a hub designed to support community health, movement, and performance.
COURSE
All three distances will start and finish at Ken Forde Park and have zero elevation gain. Participants will leave the start line in small groups or waves, to reduce congestion. There will be course markings but no dedicated race lane on the sidewalks and Seawalk. Participants are expected to be respectful of members of the public using the Seawalk during the race.

POLICY UPDATES
Published April 6, 2026
Policies may be updated at any time without notice. Any significant changes in the following policies that occur after registration will be communicated via email to participants.
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS
We can provide full refunds for pregnancy with a doctor's note provided via email. We do not provide refunds, deferrals or credits for any other reason.
If the race is cancelled for an unforeseen reason beyond our control more than 30 days before the start, runners will be partially refunded the entry fees. The amount of the refund will be dependent on the irremediable expenses incurred as of the date of the cancellation. If a race is cancelled less than 30 days before the start or if the race in progress is interrupted, for any reason beyond our control, entry fees will not be refunded.
TRANSFERS TO OTHER PARTICIPANTS
We do not permit transferring your registration to another individual prior to the race or at race bib pickup.
TRANSFERS TO OTHER DISTANCES
We encourage you to sign up for the race distance that you are confident you can complete. We cannot transfer your registration to a longer distance after purchase. Transferring down distances is permitted, however no partial refund will be provided.
REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ONLY
We ask that only registered racers with a valid Tideline Classic race bib are on our specific race course on the day of the race. If you are found racing the Tideline Classic course without valid registration, you will be banned from future events.
There are no dogs or strollers permitted to race alongside participants. We also ask that participants limit any headphones to one earbud only. This race takes place on a public Seawalk and it’s imperative that participants can hear people around you to keep everyone safe.
RACE NUMBERS
Participants in the 11k and 5k are required to pick up their individual race bib on race day. You can only pick up your own bib. Anyone found wearing someone else's race bib and number on the course will be disqualified.
Race numbers must be clearly visible on the front of participant’s shirts in order to ensure accurate timing.
WAIVER
All participants must complete the online Race Roster waiver when registering, as well an additional on-site paper waiver for the Tideline Classic. Participants will be required to sign the paper waiver on-site prior to receiving their race number.
COURSE MARKINGS
This race will take place on public sidewalks and paths. There will be course markings at all intersections and at regular intervals along the Seawalk. There will be course marshals at all crossing points in the Willow Point business area.
Participants are required to be aware of their surroundings and other public users of the sidewalks and paths.
WITHDRAWAL FROM RACE
If you have started the race and determine you cannot complete the course for any reason, you must notify one of the Tideline Classic Course Marshals, the Timing Team at the finish line or the Race Director. It’s extremely important that we ensure all participants have made it back to the finish area, or home, safely. Medical staff and Race Directors have the authority to remove any racer if they deem it unsafe for the runner to continue.
CUTOFF TIMES
- 11k Course - We ask that you aim to complete the 11k in less than 120 minutes, which is an approximate pace of 11:00min/km. If you are not confident of completing it within that time, please consider the shorter distance.
- 5k Course - We ask that you aim to complete the 5k in less than 60 minutes, which is an approximate pace of 12:00min/km.
- 2k Course - We ask that all participants are back at the start/finish area within 45 minutes.
AID STATIONS
There will by hydration stations for participants setup at the Start/Finish area as well as the two turn-around points for the 11k and 5k distances. These are located at:
- 11k Course - Hidden Harbour Park South, 67 S Island Highway
- 5k Course - Simms Creek Pump Station
There are public washrooms available along the race course, at Frank James Park, Simms Creek Pump Station and Rotary Park. There are also public washrooms at the Start/Finish area in Ken Forde Park.
KIDS RACE POLICIES
All participants in the Kids 2k Race must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at check-in. Only the registered participant will recieve a bib number. For participants 9 and under, a parent or guardian is expected to be on-course with them. For participants 10 and older, a parent or guardian is expected to be on-course or remain course-side for the duration of the race.
TIMING
Manual timing will be in place for the race to provide every participant with an individual time, available immediately on RaceClocker. There are no chips, therefore it is important that each participant clearly displays their bib on the front of their shirt in order to allow our timing team to accurately log start and finish times according to each bib number. No split times will be available.
PODIUMS
We're excited to recognize our top finishers in each race distance on the podium following the race, at the Foundation Rehab Open House. This includes the Kids 2k Race!
ADVERTISING
Out of respect to our sponsor partners who have generously contributed to our event, we ask that advertising of any kind be approved in advance. This includes but is not limited to tents, banners, flags, vehicles, giveaways, or any other sort of business advertising.
