My Story…
Jack Nealon resides in Archbald with his wife Maria and his sons Riley and Brayden. Born and raised in South Scranton, Jack is a graduate of the University of Scranton and the Dickinson School of Law. Inspired by his brother Joe who ran the race in 2016, Jack is participating in this year’s Gentlemen’s Dash in honor of his family members that have been touched by cancer. He lost his mother to cancer almost 20 years ago and both his father and father-in-law are cancer survivors.
Jack and Maria met on their first day of high school and have been married since 2002. In 2020 Maria was diagnoses with breast cancer. Within just weeks of that diagnosis and while recovering from her first surgery she received a second, unrelated diagnosis of thyroid cancer. After three surgeries in less than six months and due to both her courage and tenacity and the brilliant medical professions that cared for her, she has made an remarkable recovery and is cancer free. Jack hopes that his participation not only helps to raise money for this wonderful cause but that it also honors Maria’s inspiring story.
