Kaufman Turkey Trot 2026

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS ARE LISTED BELOW WITH DETAILS FOR EACH.

VOLUNTEER DATES/TIMES: Most volunteer positions are on the day of the race - Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26th, 2026. However, a few of the volunteer opportunities are on a different date. Please be sure that you pay attention to the dates and times.

TSHIRTS. If you sign up to volunteer BEFORE October 31st, you will receive a free Kaufman Turkey Trot 2026 tshirt.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS. Volunteers must be 13 years or older. All volunteers must be signed up through this link.

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS. We will happily sign for community service hours. There will be a contact available the day of to sign for hours you serve.

Swag Bag Packing

We will be packing swag bags that will be given to the participants with donated items.

WHERE: First Baptist Church Kaufman, The Porch

WHEN: 9am - 12noon

Early Packet Pick Up

We will be handing out swag bags, tshirts and bibs for the participants.

WHERE: Kaufman Square

WHEN: 3:30pm - 6:30pm

All opportunities listed below will be in and around the Kaufman Square. You will come to the Square and check in and be given details about your assignment the day of.

Event Setup - Help setup for the event. This is a hands-on job, so we need volunteers that can carry, lift and move boxes, signs, tables, etc.

Late Packet Pick Up - You will help with handing out bibs, tshrits and swag bags to those who were unable to pick up early.

Late Registration Table - You will help people register the day-of. (You will utilize a tablet, so this requires basic tech knowledge but nothing complex.)

Floaters - These will be volunteers who go wherever they are most needed on the day of.

Event Breakdown - Help breakdown event. This is a hands-on job, so we need volunteers who can help breakdown tents, load chairs and boxes into vehicles, etc.
