Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to attend every live session?
Not at all!
Life happens, and I know schedules don't always cooperate. Every live expedition is recorded, so if you can't attend one (or want to revisit a session later), you'll have access to the recording.
Of course, I encourage you to join live whenever possible. The conversations, questions, and shared experiences are a big part of what makes this journey special.
Do I have to register for the full Mountain Method?
No.
You can join any individual expedition that speaks to where you are right now.
That said, the four camps were intentionally designed to build upon one another. If you're looking for the full Mountain Method experience, I encourage you to complete the entire climb.
I'm a Fleet Feet Training Program participant. Do I receive a discount?
Yes!
As part of our partnership with Fleet Feet, training program participants receive exclusive pricing on Mindset Academy that's not available anywhere else.
Simply contact your Fleet Feet coaches, and they'll provide you with the current discount codes before you register.
It's one more way we're working together to support your growth—both on the run and beyond.
Do I have to be a runner or trail runner?
Absolutely not.
While many of the stories and examples come from my years of coaching runners and endurance athletes, the lessons apply to anyone pursuing growth.
Whether you're an athlete, coach, business owner, leader, parent, student, or simply someone looking to build more confidence and resilience, you'll find tools you can apply immediately.
Because mindset is universal.
We all have mountains.
Is this only for athletes?
Not at all.
The Mountain Method was inspired by sport, but it was built for life.
Everything we discuss—from confidence and resilience to handling pressure and overcoming setbacks—applies just as much in the boardroom, classroom, workplace, and home as it does on a race course.
What if I'm not confident?
Then you're exactly where you belong.
This isn't a program for people who have it all figured out.
It's for people who want to grow.
Confidence isn't something you either have or don't have.
It's something you build—one step at a time.
What if I've never worked on mindset before?
Perfect.
You don't need any previous experience.
The Mountain Method is designed to meet you exactly where you are and give you practical tools you can begin using immediately.
What happens after I register?
Once you register, you'll immediately receive a confirmation email confirming your spot in the expedition.
About one week before your live session, you'll receive another email with everything you need, including:
- Your Zoom link
- Session details and reminders
- Any pre-session resources or reflection exercises (when applicable)
My goal is to make the experience as simple and stress-free as possible, so all you have to do is show up ready to climb.
What happens during a live expedition?
Each live session includes:
- A 60-minute interactive workshop
- Campfire Conversations where we learn from one another
- Reflection exercises
- Practical tools you can immediately apply to your own mountain
You'll leave with ideas you can begin using that same day.
Will there be homework?
I prefer to call them opportunities to practice.
Between expeditions, you'll receive simple exercises and reflections designed to help you apply what you've learned in real life.
Growth happens between the sessions—not just during them.
Will I receive anything after the academy?
Yes!
Participants who complete all four expeditions will receive:
- A Mountain Method Certificate
- An invitation to join The Mountain Collective
- Continued connection with a community committed to lifelong growth
Because graduation isn't the finish line.
It's the beginning of your next climb.
What if I miss a session?
No problem.
Every expedition is recorded, so you can watch it whenever it fits your schedule.
You'll still be able to continue your climb.
Can I receive a refund?
Because every registration includes access to live sessions, recordings, and digital materials, all registrations are non-refundable.
If something unexpected comes up and you're unable to attend live, you'll still receive the session recording and course materials.
How long do I have access to the recordings?
You'll receive access to all session recordings for 12 months, giving you plenty of time to revisit the lessons and continue learning at your own pace.
Will I be able to ask questions?
Absolutely.
One of my favorite parts of the academy is the conversation.
Each live expedition includes dedicated time for discussion, questions, and coaching. Some of the most meaningful learning comes from hearing other climbers share their experiences.
What if I don't finish all four camps?
That's okay.
Every expedition offers valuable lessons on its own.
However, participants who complete all four camps will earn their Mountain Method Certificate and receive an invitation to The Mountain Collective, where the climb continues.
Is this mindset training based on science or just motivation?
This isn't about motivational speeches or positive thinking.
The Mountain Method combines lessons I've learned over decades as an athlete and coach with practical mindset principles that help people build confidence, develop resilience, navigate setbacks, and perform under pressure.
My goal isn't to motivate you for a day.
It's to give you tools you'll use for years.
Who is this academy for?
Anyone who's ready to grow.
Whether you're training for your first 5K, leading a business, navigating a career change, raising a family, preparing for a big presentation, or simply trying to become a stronger version of yourself...
The Mountain Method is for anyone ready to take the next step.
Because we all have mountains.
Still have questions?
I'd love to hear from you.
Choosing to invest in yourself is a big decision, and I want you to feel confident before beginning your climb. If there's something I haven't answered here, please don't hesitate to reach out.
