Volunteer at the 2026 Chilly Half Marathon
Volunteer at the 2026 Chilly Half Marathon!
If you would like to volunteer for this year's race please fill out the volunteer registration form and someone from our team will be in touch with you a few weeks before the race. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email amitoz@vrpro.ca
Volunteers will be assigned based on where we need people the most. Please indicate your preferences when signing up. We will do our best to match you to your preferred role, however, adjustments may need to be made so that we can fill all required positions.
Race Date: Sunday, March 1st, 2026
Course Marshal (Outside along the race route)
Course marshals play an extremely important role during the race by helping to direct participants along the route. You can also cheer the runners on as they pass by. All course marshals will be transported to their location and picked up from their location via a school bus.

Meeting Spot: City Hall Burlington - 426 Brant St.
Time: Volunteers are needed from 8:00AM - 2:30PM. All marshal volunteers must be on site no later than 8:00AM for check in.
Finish Line Volunteers (Outside near start/finish line)
Finish line volunteers will assist with the following roles as needed at the finish line
- Handing out medals to the runners
- Handing out fruit and water to the runners
- Helping at the waste sorting station

Meeting Spot: City Hall Burlington - 426 Brant St.
Time: Finish line volunteers are needed from 8:00AM - 2:30PM.
Race Kit Pick Up (2 Days before event)
Volunteers assisting with race kit pickup are needed for 2 days before the race. Volunteers helping at race kit pickup will be helping with the following:
- Handing out race bibs and shirts to registrants
- Answering runners questions
- Assisting with other tasks as needed
Location: Burlington Running Room Store - 3300 Fairview St. Burlington
Time: Volunteers are needed between 10:00AM - 3:30PM

February 28, 2026 SATURDAY
Race Kit Pick Up (Week before event)
Volunteers are needed to help with race kit pickup the week before the race in TORONTO. Volunteers helping at race kit pickup will be helping with the following:
- Handing out race bibs and shirts to registrants
- Answering runners questions
- Assisting with other tasks as needed
Pickup dates, times and locations are as follows:

February 21, 2026 SATURDAY (11 AM to 4 PM)
February 22, 2026 SUNDAY (10:30 AM to 4 PM) | SHAKEOUT RUN
Set up and take down (Day of event and day before)
Volunteers are needed to help with set up and take down duties. We are looking for volunteers to assist with this the day before the race as well as the day of the race.
- Helping set up inside city hall the day before the race (10AM - 2PM)
- Helping with set up first thing on race morning (6:00AM)
- Helping with take down the day of the race (1:30PM)
Race Date: Volunteers needed on both Saturday, February 28th & Sunday, March 1st, 2026
Meeting Spot: City Hall Burlington - 426 Brant St.
Time: Times will vary for each day.
Volunteers will be contacted with their confirmed assigned positions by mid-late February.
