In 2026 we welcome a new sibling for the Hut 2 Hut family - the Lala 23km. It's a step up from the Bella 10km, a stairway progression run to the elder Archie 50km and Oscars 100km and it undoubtedly carries the family genes: mountainous, steep and stunning. A touch over a half marathon with a vertical kilometre drop AND a vertical kilometre climb to test your trail running mettle, this one's a beauty that may test the limits of your training bank. The course deceives early with a gentle rolling, undulating cruise around 'Gang Gangs' singletrack, departing the village along Cornhill Spur before the bombing begins. Down Delatite you go and the expert advice is step easy - if you crush the downhill you'll also crunch your quads, something that will cost you in the back half of the La La.
