Do I need to carry my own nutrition?
We recommend bringing your preferred ride nutrition for longer climbs and personal preferences. Ride support, nutrition stops, and daily lunches are provided throughout the tour.
What dinners are included?
We've partnered with three High Country favourites—Bright Brewery, the Alpine Hotel, and the iconic Porepunkah Pub—to provide group dinners throughout the tour. These evenings are a highlight of the experience, bringing riders together to relax, refuel, and relive the day's adventures.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour will proceed in most weather conditions. Should severe weather impact rider safety, routes may be modified at the discretion of the organisers.
How fit do I need to be?
You should be comfortable riding multiple consecutive days and tackling significant climbing. While this is not a race, the routes feature some challenging terrain, including Mount Hotham and Mount Buffalo. Riders should arrive with a reasonable level of fitness to ensure they get the most from the experience.
What makes this tour different?
The Backyard Tours presented by LITP combine bucket-list riding, premium cycling apparel, outstanding hospitality, and the unique atmosphere of riding alongside Mitch Docker and fellow cycling enthusiasts. It's more than a cycling event—it's four days immersed in the best roads, stories, food, and friendships the High Country has to offer.
