Kick off the 2027 New Year with the Annual

Florida Striders Resolution Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run!

We are unable to run the course we have run for the last couple of decades as they have decided to sell the property.

Soooo... This year we will be running the Memorial Day race course located at Orange Park Town Hall Park. Where you will start and finish on Stowe Ave.


Guaranteed race t-shirt for the first 650 participants race that registered before race day.

The weather is usually nice and cool for our run along the beautiful St. Johns River January 9th . The 5K starts at 8:30am, followed up with the FREE Kid's 1 mile Fun Run at 9:30am.

Please note we will be closing registration 15 minutes prior to the start of the race to allow participants to start on time. Packet pickup will go all the way until race time.

Registration
  • Online registration is open now, as well as in the First Place Sports stores. There will also be day of race registration, but don't wait until then, as the prices go up. Early packet pickup at one of the 1st Place Sports locations is highly encouraged.
  • NEW THIS YEAR! IF YOUR RUNNING AND USING A COMP CODE (like for a race team or sponsor) THE CODE MUST BE USED BY THURSDAY JANUARY 7th, 2027 AT NOON ONLINE. IF YOU WAIT UNTIL RACE DAY YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY THE RACE DAY PRICE AND NO DISCOUNT.

Awards

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Overall...1,2,3 in age group awards, 1st Place Male and Female Master and Grand Master Awards.
  • Runners can check with the volunteers near the Awards table to see if they placed, or they can go to the 1st Place Sports website. (Highly Suggested)

Refreshments

  • There will be a water station on the course near the turn-around, and refreshments on tables beyond the finish line area.

Start Line

  • The 5K starts at 8:30, so start lining up by 8:15.
  • Competitive runners are encouraged to start near the front, and walkers near the back please.

Course

  • The 5K starts on Stowe Ave. across from the Orange Park Town Hall Park Clay County Emergency Amateur Radio Teams will be out on the course, coordinating with the Sheriff Dept. Officers to ensure a safe and enjoyable run.

Finish Line

  • Please be mindful of other runners finishing so please continue past the finish line area.
  • Finisher medals will go to the top 650 finishers

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FAMILY MEMBER RACE REGISTRATIONS

For Strider Family Memberships, every family member who is going to register for our races MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PROFILE. This is the way to register spouses and children correctly and get our Club race discount rate.

Here is how to do it. One adult in the family is the Family Head. When this person logs in to our website and looks at their profile, they will have an ADD MEMBER button on the upper right of the profile. They will give each family member their own username and password and complete the form. After doing this, proceed to race registration for each family member. If the Family Head has never logged in to our website, they can click Forgot Password and follow the instructions

NOTE- This action is not required to register in our Free Fun Runs. Those registrations take place on race day only.

***Online registration closes at noon Thursday, January 7th, but you can still register at any one of the 1st Place Sports stores until 5pm on Friday, or at the race Saturday morning starting at 6:15am to 8:15am.

Pre-Race Packet Pickup

Pre-Race Packet Pickup is encouraged to ensure you get a shirt. We always try to have a surplus shirts but a shirt is not guaranteed on race day.

Please check your pick up location box when you register.
