Carmel-by-the-Sea 5K

Join us for an unforgettable 5K through Carmel-by-the-Sea, starting at San Carlos Street and 9th Avenue in downtown Carmel. The course heads toward the coast by way of Carmel Mission, then winds along the oceanside cliffs of Scenic Drive before finishing at the bottom of Ocean Avenue, just steps from the beach and our post-race finish line festival.
The race is timed and USATF certified, with perpetual awards and bragging rights for the 1st-place male and female finishers. Age-group awards will also be offered this year.

100% of race revenue benefits Girls on the Run Central Coast, a Monterey County organization that builds confidence, character, and physical activity among today’s youth.

Kids Run Free

Children under 5 may register free with a paid adult participant. Please add them as an additional participant during checkout so we can account for them on race day.

Bring Your Dog!

Dogs are welcome and encouraged on the course. For $15 (+ fees), officially register your canine companion and receive a pet participation bandana and canine finish-line treat.

To register your dog, select “Add Canine” at checkout. Limit one dog per participant.
