for registering for the Virtual Pink Pumpkin Run! Even though it may not be in everyone's best interest to come out and run with hundreds of people this year, there are still hundreds of local women who need YOUR HELP in the fight against breast cancer. Thanks to you, we are making a BIG difference in the lives of women and cancer patients in our community!
As a registered participant you have been entered into the Pink Pumpkin Run Virtual Race in the category in which you registered. Race kits were a bit delayed in production, but will be mailed out starting on October 12 to the address you provided during registration! Remember, our race window opens October 12 and ends on midnight October 28. Registration is open during this window, so there is still time to recruit friends and family to your team!
BEFORE YOU RUN...
Be sure to download our printable custom race bib for your race. You can choose your own bib number this year and fill in who you are running to support!
Using your Fitbit, Garmin or Apple Watch: You can track your participation using your Fitbit, Garmin, or Apple Watch. You must download the Runkeeper app and connect your device prior to starting your activity. Follow these steps to add your Fitbit, Garmin, or Apple Watch activity to the Runkeeper app.
To run your event, choose any day between October 12 and October 28. As far as the route, this is YOUR race! You can run on a treadmill or choose your own route for the virtual event - although we do suggest adhering to all public health guidelines. Follow these virtual race tips to get the most out of your experience and be sure to post plenty of pictures of your virtual race using #VirtualPinkPumpkinRun!
Remember to join us on Facebook live October 30 at 11:30 am to hear all the results and awards!
Multiple event distances or participants under one Race Roster account If you signed up for more than one distance within the same event, or signed up multiple individuals for the same event, please visit your Race Roster dashboard, select this event and then use the “Connect to App” button for each event distance or person. To send to a friend, copy and paste that connect to app button link and share it with them.
How to ensure your activity is tracked correctly Please make sure you run the full distance (to the decimal point) to ensure your result is posted. Note: If you run farther than the required distance, the Runkeeper app will post your fastest segment.
Limitations to note At this time, the Runkeeper app is unable to link to Suunto, Coros or Polar, but you can use your iPhone or Android.
