We are so excited to have you join us at the 2021 Toronto Women’s 5k in support of the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO). We can't wait to see everyone at the start line.
The primary goal of the day is to ensure everyone stays safe before, during and after the race. In order for us to achieve this we need to collectively follow the following safety protocols outlined below.
Your Bib Number will have been sent to you via email if you registered online.
Race Kit Pick Up Details
If you are picking up your race kit at the Rosedale Running Room, please ensure you bring proof of vaccination as well as government issued photo ID.
Location:
Rosedale Running Room – 1087 Yonge Street, Toronto
Hours:
• Wednesday, October 20 - 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm
• Thursday, October 21 - 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm
• Friday, October 22 - 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm
Please be prepared to show proof of vaccination and photo ID at kit pick up.
If you are picking up for a friend, you will need to show an email from them enabling you to pick up on their behalf.
Please note, they will be required show proof of vaccination status on race day at the information tent.
If you chose to get your race kit shipped to you, you will need to show proof of vaccination and government issued photo ID on race day. Please allow 15 minutes for this process on race morning and proceed to the information tent upon arrival.
Pre-Race COVID - 19 Screening Form:
To ensure everyone’s safety, you will be required to complete a COVID-19 screening form within 24 hours prior to race morning. This will be emailed to you the morning of Friday, October 22.
Important Race Day Details:
• Please arrive 20 minutes before your corral start time.
• If you need to provide proof of vaccination on race day please arrive an additional 15 minutes earlier and proceed to the info tent.
• Please do not arrive early unless you are required to show vaccination verification.
• Masks are mandatory in all areas, except on the course.
• Physical distancing is required while you are at the race site and in the formation area.
• Only registered runners, who are wearing a bib, will be allowed access into the Race Site and Start Corrals.
Pre-Race Staging Information:
• Event capacity is capped at 100 people and is limited based on your assigned arrival time.
• After arriving at Sunnybrook Park, main entrance at 1150 Leslie Street, Toronto, head to the race site at Wilket Creek Park, Area #2.
• You will see the race site after you enter the main entrance of the park off of Leslie St.
Baggage:
• There will be no baggage drop area on race day.
• Only bring what you can carry during your race.
• Please plan accordingly.
Water:
• We are not having a water station on the route.
• Plan accordingly and carry your own fluids as needed.
• Pre-race we will have a small “self serve” water station available.
• Post race you will be provided with a bottle of water.
Spectators:
Due to the site restrictions, spectators will not be able to gather at the Race Site or start area. However, you can have your friends and family cheer along the route.
Getting to the Start Line and into your assigned Corral:
• We have moved our start line 200m south of the party site to ensure we maintain physical distancing throughout the event.
• The finish line remains at our party site location, same as what we have always done at the races.
• Your assigned starting corral will be sub-divided into groups of 25 runners.
• Each sub-corral group will wait in their designated area until they are called to the start line. Runners will then line up in pairs and will be sent out onto the route in 5 second intervals.
• Volunteers will escort your sub-corral into the start line area as you prepare to start your race.

On the Route:
• You may remove your mask after you have crossed the start line. Please keep it with you, as you must wear it again after you cross the finish line.
• There is no water station on the course. Plan ahead and bring your own hydration.
• Medical staff will be on the route as well as at the finish line.

• Units will be located at the race site as well as the start line area.
• Park bathrooms will also be open.
Finish Line:
• Please put your mask back on after your race.
• If you lose your mask while running, don’t worry, we will have some available at the finish line
• As you make your way through the finish chute, you’ll find a table with your finisher medal, a table with bottled water and a table with your pre-packaged snack bag.
• There will be no post-race celebration this year, however your celebration should continue with family and friends!
