1st Annual Venice High School Band Walkathon

CoolToday Park at Wellen Park

It's going to be an amazing morning of fun, food, music and more along with a 1K walk to raise money for the Venice High School Band.

All participants will receive a custom T-Shirt for taking part in the event. You will also receive a finisher Medal to commemorate your participation.

The top fundraiser will win a $500 Visa Gift Card.

2nd place fundraiser will win a $250.00 Visa Gift Card.

3rd place through 10th place fundraisers will each receive a

$50.00 Visa Gift Card.

Venice High School Woodwind Ensemble

We are also proud to announce the event will be held at CoolToday Park. It's a beautiful facility at Wellen Park in North Port.

It's going to be a blast, featuring a Walkathon to support the Venice High School Band along with The Publix Half Marathon and 5K road race, and the Bags and Beers CornHole Tournament to support the Big Bill's Foundation.

The After Party will feature a hot breakfast. Juice boxes for the kids, soda, and ice-cold beer/hard cider for the adults!

If you have friends and family members that are not walking as a fundraiser they can still buy a wristband and enjoy the food and drink, for just $15.00. Pick them up in the Race Store.

If all of the above was not enough we will have a special performance by R Anthony and 813 Live. R Anthony turned 2 chairs on the hit TV show, "The Voice". These guys are amazing. You do not want to miss it!

There will be 4 packet pickup locations including on Event Day.
All walkers will get a custom T-Shirt. Every walker will also receive a beautiful Custom Finisher Medal. You must be registered by September 19, 2021 to be guaranteed a commemorative Shirt.
Also on Friday night, there will be a Corn Hole Tournament that anyone can enter! It will be a way for the entire family to get involved in the event weekend.
After your race, you will be treated to a hot breakfast. There will be bacon, pancakes, coffee, and of course Ice Cold Beer!
There will also be a concert by MFRE official band, R Anthony & 813 Live. You heard him on "The Voice" and at our races at Myakka.
The Walkathon starts out in front of CoolToday Park. You will finish inside the stadium by entering through the chute in the right field. You will then follow the warning track around the field and finishing by third base. As you finish your race you will see yourself on the huge stadium Jumbotron. It will be a great photo op for your friends and family.
You will also be able to purchase extra food and Drink Wrist Bands for your friends and family that are attending with you but not participating. This will give them access to the breakfast Buffet so they can eat with you! These are available in our Race Store on our Race Roster Site.
There will a raffle and the winner will receive a beautiful Kayak. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Tickets for both raffles are also available in our store.
Plenty of Free parking close to all the action at the stadium.
