How to get involved
It’s time to act, so we’ve brought the 40 Hour Famine challenge back!
This year we’re getting up close and personal with hunger by challenging you to live without something you rely on for 40 hours, such as furniture, transport, technology or food. * Participating means you can help change the story of vulnerable children facing down the threat of COVID-19, conflict, and acute hunger.
Like you, we can’t sit back and do nothing, so, it’s time to stand up, speak out and show your support for those that need it more than ever. Get ready for a fun and rewarding weekend and check out our top ten tips to help you kick start your fundraising journey!

Show your support!
Get the ball rolling by being the first to donate to your fundraising campaign. It shows your commitment to the cause and gets others involved.
Start at home!
Get off to a flying start by asking your parents or care giver to sponsor you $1 and hour. Awesome work! You’ve already raised $40!
Send text and emails!
Make a list of potential sponsors and email or text 5 people and ask them to donate $10 each. Don’t forget to include the link for donations. Your goal is in sight!
Speak to potential sponsors!
Ask 5 people you see regularly, including friends, family, fellow students or people from your church group to sponsor you $10 each. That’s only 25 cents per hour of your challenge! Who could say no? A great way to raise $50!
