Who are we?

Bumrun is a charity that raises awareness of colon cancer screening and prevention. For 10 years, we have organized 5K walk/run events and raised more than $600,000 net for various colon cancer charity organizations. Our funds go toward colon cancer research, enhancing patient support programs for families living with colon cancer, and raising awareness of colon cancer screening and prevention.

In addition to our listed charities, this year Bumrun has partnered with not for profit Colorectal Cancer Resource & Action Network (CCRAN), whose mission is to support, educate and advocate for colorectal cancer patients and their caregivers.

Canada has one of the highest colon cancer rates in the world, affecting 1 in 14 Canadians. But if everyone got screened, 90% of deaths could be prevented. Now that's worth running for!

How will this work?

As we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 situation, we are keeping Bumrun Vancouver virtual for 2022.

As a virtual participant, you will record your walk/run race time and enter your time here. Please note, an entered time is NOT required to receive your swag materials below.

The decision to stay virtual is not one we take lightly, but we must prioritize the health and safety of our runners and volunteers. We remain steadfast in our commitment to raise awareness of colon cancer. In our 10th year, we will continue in our tradition of 100% of donated funds going to support our charities.

What does registration include?

Registration includes:
