Volunteering for the Défi Entreprise means participating in an event that brings together several companies around different sports challenges such as walking, running, zumba, yoga and cardio-fit.
As a volunteer, you are essential to the organization of the event. Nothing would be possible without you!
Bike Framer
During the event, you will be a bike supervisor to ensure the safety of the course. You will then patrol the course to ensure the safety of the participants. You must use your own bike.
Start / Finish
Volunteers will help with a more specific aspect of our event. Depending on the position, the tasks may require some physical effort. The duration of a volunteer's help is approximately 4 hours.
Registration and welcome
This volunteer will be responsible for validating registration. The registration volunteer will have to be able to answer the different questions of the participants. The registration and the delivery of the bibs are generally done before the event. In case of forgetfulness, the participant will be charged 5$ to get one on the event site.
Refreshment station
Volunteer located at a refreshment station. The volunteer will have the task of distributing a beverage (water or sports drink) to passing runners. The volunteer may be asked to set up and take down the station with the help of all other volunteers at the station.
Handing out of the snack
Following their event, participants will be given a healthy snack. You will be in charge of giving it to them.
Signaller / Course Marker
A volunteer on the course who indicates by voice or by pointing, the direction that the runner must take. The course marshal ensures that the runner is on the correct path. The pointer is a human resource that acts in parallel with the marked course.
Checkroom / Bag drop
Participants will bring a bag identified with their bib number. You will have to file it properly and give it back to them at the end of the event.
Presentation of participation medals at the finish of the runners/walkers
Volunteer located downstream from the finish line who gives a participation medal to the runner who has just crossed the finish line.
Other possibilities
The "flying" volunteers have the mission to help with many last minute tasks that make a real difference at the end of the day.
Start / Finish Area Attendant
Volunteer who, on the morning of the race, helps set up the starting arch. He/she will also help with the marking of the start and/or finish area. He/she may also act as the start/finish air marshal if necessary. The Start/Finish Air Operator must be able to move cones, trestles and fences.
Mascot
You will be in the mascot to animate the start site.
