Cassie + Friends

We invite you to join Team Cassie + Friends in the 2023 Bluenose Marathon Charity Challenge and help us transform the lives of children and families affected by Juvenile Arthritis and other rheumatic diseases at IWK Health Centre. 

What are we raising funds for?

With funds raised through the event, we make sure kids and their families can connect with one another for support through peer mentorship, access trusted information through our Virtual Education Series and benefit from research into safer and more effective treatment strategies. Last year, our team also helped establish a Cassie + Friends Family Fund and Equipment Cupboard in the IWK pediatric rheumatology clinic! The cupboard will provide families with free access to medical equipment, support for out-of-pocket expenses like gas/parking and other aids, like heat/cold packs and numbing creams for injections, to ease kids’ pain.
