Why I Run!
Description
Every Mother Counts was born from the recognition that not all birthing people enjoy the same access and privilege when it comes to maternity care. In some parts of the world, women have to travel many miles, often by foot, to reach a provider or clinic while pregnant or in labor. We run as a way to raise awareness of maternal health disparities.
To date, Team EMC has run hundreds of thousands of miles, and raised over $8M in support of Every Mother Counts’ mission.
