My Story…
This is year 8 of launching this beautiful beast of an event. And year 2 of actually participating in this gem of a swim. My goals this year are: 1) Try not to fall down at the finish line. I know - a lofty goal. Maybe just walk to the finish line rather than trying to run. 2) Get in the water to train. Yet another lofty goal. This past winter my swimming BFF Anna and I have both been 100% AWOL with our frigid ocean swims. Honestly, neither of us had it in us. But April has arrived with all it's ridiculously inspiring blossoms, splashes of blue sky and longer days. We are ready. Let's get this swim-party started. 3) Swim for my Bowen neighbours and friends in the midst of the cancer treatment uglies. And those we have lost. This swim, this fund is love in action. See you on the beach!
