My Story…
I’m kindly asking for donations for Swim Bowen, a fundraiser for cancer care on Bowen Island, BC. Money raised will directly benefit Bowen Island residents in active cancer treatment or who have completed treatment within the last 12 months.
Two friends David Bellringer, Michael Henrichsen and I are currently swimming around Bowen Island in 5 separate legs for a total distance of around 33 km. We started in June and we have already completed 3 out of 5 legs for ~22km of total swimming. We are planning to complete our swim by Friday, July 11th. Our swim will culminate with the Swim Bowen event on the morning of July 12th: my 15 year old daughter Norah will swim 750m and I will swim 1,500m along with ~70 other swimmers
