MORE DETAILS
2/3s Rule
We design our routes with the specific intention of showcasing cycling facilities as much as possible. The 2/3s Rule means this isn’t a free-for-all. The designated routes matter. To count a ride:
You must cover the full distance claimed (e.g. 100 miles for an Imperial Centurion and 100 kms for a Metric Century).
At least 2/3 of that distance (e.g. 67 miles or 67 kms) must follow the designated route (including Randonneurs Ontario rides).
The remaining 1/3 is up to you—anywhere in Windsor-Essex (or Chatham-Kent for the EKG300).
Why Do We Count Off-Route Parts Up To 1/3?
It encourages creativity, lets you ride from your doorstep, and keeps it interesting—especially if you're doing multiple loops. We also learn a lot from where you go!
📝 Exception: Because the Kelly-Ann Way is an out-and-back, only 1/2 of that route needs to follow the official path.
🚫 Note: No double-counting the same loop sections when calculating your 2/3.
DO IT AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT!
Can’t finish within the challenge window? No problem.
These are open-source routes—ride them anytime, all year round.
⚠️ IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
This is a personal challenge—not a formal, supported, or sanctioned event.
