This year, I am walking the Beneva Montreal Marathon to support patients and their caregivers through one of the most vulnerable times in their lives.

For the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of working as a palliative care nurse. In that time, I have witnessed both the incredible challenges that patients and families face, and the deep strength and love that carry them forward. I’ve also had the honor of working alongside healthcare professionals who provide compassionate care each and every day—reminding me that even in life’s most difficult moments, dignity and humanity matter most.

This walk is more than just a marathon for me—it’s a way to give back, to carry the stories of those I’ve cared for, and to ensure that support continues for others when they need it most.
