Refunds & Transfers – City of Lakes Half Marathon 2026
We understand that plans can change, and sometimes race day doesn’t work out. Please review the City of Lakes Half Marathon 2026 Refunds & Transfers Policy before registering.
❌ No Refunds or Deferrals
No refunds will be issued for any reason.
No deferrals will be granted to future races.
This policy applies to all registrations, regardless of circumstance.
✅ Your Options If You Cannot Participate
1. Transfer Your Bib
Runners who cannot participate may transfer their bib to another runner.
Transfers must be completed through the official race registration platform before the published transfer deadline.
The new runner will complete their own registration details and accept all waivers.
Transfers are processed through the Race Roster site and they must be completed prior to the transfer deadline.
The deadline to transfer bibs will be announced in 2026.
2. File a Claim (if you purchased Race Protection Coverage)
If you purchased optional race protection coverage during registration, you may be eligible to file a claim for reimbursement.
Claims must be filed directly through the race protection provider.
Coverage and eligibility are subject to the terms and conditions you agreed to when purchasing protection.

Only transfers completed through the official system will be honored.
Attempted transfers outside the official process (such as selling bibs privately) are not allowed and may result in disqualification.
We strongly encourage runners to review their schedule and consider purchasing race protection coverage at registration for added flexibility.

❓ Can I get a refund if I can’t run?
No. We do not offer refunds for any reason.
❓ Can I defer my registration to 2027?
No. We do not allow deferrals to future races.
❓ What if I bought race protection?
If you purchased optional race protection coverage during registration, you may be able to file a claim for reimbursement. All claims must be submitted directly to the protection provider under their terms and conditions.
❓ Can I transfer my bib to another runner?
Yes! Transfers are allowed through our official registration platform before the posted deadline. The new runner will need to complete their own registration details and accept all race waivers.
❓ Can I sell or give away my bib outside the transfer system?
No. Unauthorized bib transfers are not permitted and may result in disqualification from the City of Lakes and future Run Minnesota events.
❓ Where can I find instructions for transferring my bib?
Transfer deadlines will be posted on this page once they are set in 2026.
