Our story…
CIVOC is a tax-deductible, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We were founded over 43 years ago by a group of Vietnam Veterans who did not find the services and programs they needed to transition back to their communities anywhere in our region successfully. Since then, we have been an indispensable veteran services provider across the region. Building on the legacy of our founders, we offer multiple comprehensive support services that empower veterans to achieve independence with dignity and respect, including 14 monthly food pantries across Cape Cod and on Martha’s Vineyard (feeding over 18,000 individuals annually), a new Food Distribution Center feeding 850-950 families monthly, transportation service for over 2,100 veterans to life-sustaining appointments annually, professional counseling to over 1,000 veterans annually, and transitional housing in Dennis and Hyannis and our new project in Martha’s Vineyard to build 12 new apartments.
