Help us raise money

We will be participating in the Ned’s Wish Heroes Run 2026 this October, raising funds for Ned’s Wish in support of retired police and military dogs across Canada.

After years spent serving and protecting their communities, these incredible dogs deserve the chance to enjoy the retirement they’ve earned. Ned’s Wish helps ease the financial burden of caring for them as they age by helping cover veterinary and healthcare costs, while also raising awareness about the importance of caring for retired police and military dogs. This support can make a huge difference in their quality of life.

This year’s run honours RCMP Police Dog Bandit, who was killed in the line of duty while serving his community with his handler, Cpl. Rick Mosher, in 2000. Bandit made the ultimate sacrifice in service, and this run gives us the opportunity to honour his memory while supporting the dogs who have dedicated their lives to the same kind of work.

We chose the name Off Duty Dawgs because while we may be off duty for the day, the cause still means a lot to us. This run is a small way for us to support the retired legends who spent years serving their communities and now deserve the chance to enjoy retirement with the care they need.
