Empowering Adults with Physical Disabilities
In support of Disability Awareness Month, helping remove everyday barriers and create opportunities for independence for adults with physical disabilities through Over The Rainbow.
In memory of Val Nora, a long time resident of Over The Rainbow, who was always finding ways to support this event, and whose efforts and commitment meant so much to our community.
All proceeds support Over The Rainbow and resident services that provide life skills, community programs, and opportunities for independence.

Over The Rainbow Who We Are
Over The Rainbow was founded by parents who wanted a better future for their children with physical disabilities, one where they could live with independence, dignity, and choice.
What began with a single accessible apartment community in Evanston has grown into 14 communities across Northern Illinois, providing safe, affordable housing and support for over 350 residents.
At its core, OTR is about removing barriers and creating opportunities so adults with physical disabilities can live full, independent lives.

Follow these easy steps to prepare for your Virtual 5K or 2K:
 TRACKING STEPS 1. Download the ASICS Runkeeper™ app to your phone and create an account or scroll down to log into an existing account Once you have completed your distance in the app, save your workout and it will automatically post to Race Roster results. (This step must be followed from your mobile device) |
 VIEWING AND POSTING MANUAL RESULTS If you plan to record using another software or tracking device or post manually from what is recorded on your watch, simply head here and "Submit Virtual Result" between July 12 - July 18, 2026. |
FAQS:
- To record with tracking on the ASICS Runkeeper™ app, you will need to run or walk with your phone or with a connected wearable (see instructions below)
- You do not have to track with these technologies, it is optional!
