Event Information
When is Run4Geelong 2026?
The City of Greater Geelong Run4Geelong will be held on Sunday 8 November 2026.
Where does the event start and finish?
All events will start and finish on Ritchie Blvd along the Geelong Waterfront, with the Event Village located at Eastern Beach Reserve.
What distances are available?
Participants can choose from:
- Cleanaway Half Marathon
- Hanlon Industries 10km
- City of Greater Geelong 5km
- GMHBA 3km
- Villawood Properties 1km Kids Dash (U/12 only)
What time does my race start?
- Cleanaway Half Marathon - 7:00am
- Hanlon Industries 10km - 8:30am
- City of Greater Geelong 5km - 8:45am
- GMHBA 3km - 9:00am
- Villawood Properties 1km Kids Dash (U/12 only) - 9:30am

What are the courses?
Course maps will be published closer to the event.
Who can participate?
The City of Greater Geelong Run4Geelong welcomes participants of all ages and abilities.
Children under 16 years of age must be registered by a parent or guardian.
Participants under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult on course except for the 1km Kids Dash.
Is Run4Geelong accessible?
We are committed to making Run4Geelong as inclusive and accessible as possible.

Is RunPawGeelong happening this year?
We know many of our participants love sharing Run4Geelong with their furry friends. As our event grows, we’ve made the difficult decision to remove RunPawGeelong from our event offering. As such, dogs won't be permitted at the event (with the exception of accredited service animals). As the event continues to grow, this approach helps us provide a safer and more enjoyable experience for all participants, volunteers and spectators.
Registration
How do I register?
Registrations can be completed online via the official Run4Geelong website: www.run4geelong.com.au.
When do registrations close?
Online entries are open until 1 hour prior to your race start, unless the event sells out earlier.
We encourage you to enter as early as possible to avoid delays.
Please note an increased entry fee may apply on the day.
Are registrations refundable?
Registrations are generally non-refundable unless Refund Protection was purchased during registration. Please refer to the event Terms and Conditions for full details.
Can I transfer my registration to another person?
Yes. Transfers are available up until registrations close. Please select the Registration Transfers & Changes page for more information.
Can I change my distance after registering?
Subject to availability, participants may upgrade or downgrade their distance prior to the event. Please select the Registration Transfers & Changes page for more information.
To change race distances on event day, please visit the Registration Tent as early as possible before your race starts. Please note a fee may apply.
I have a toddler in a pram. Do I need to register them?
Yes. All participants must be registered for safety reasons.
Are there age limits or restrictions on the 1km Kids Dash?
Yes. Only registered participants under the age of 12 are permitted on course during the 1km Kids Dash.
If you need to accompany your child during the event, please contact foundation@barwonhealth.org.au as soon as possible before event day to discuss your requirements.
Are there Age & Group Discounts?
Yes! We offer a 10% discount when you register a group of four participants or more.
We also offer a $5 discount for participants under 18 years of age.
These discounts are automatically applied at checkout.
Fundraising & Supporting Barwon Health
How does the City of Greater Geelong Run4Geelong support Barwon Health?
The City of Greater Geelong Run4Geelong is a community event that supports Barwon Health through participation, fundraising, sponsorship and donations.
Can I fundraise?
Absolutely! We encourage you to fundraise to celebrate your commitment to complete the City of Greater Geelong Run4Geelong.
When registering, you'll be invited to create a fundraising page that you can share with family, friends and colleagues.

Can I nominate an area of Barwon Health to support?
Yes. During registration, you can choose the Barwon Health department, service or appeal that is most meaningful to you.
Schools & Corporate Teams
I would like to register my school. How do I do this?
Head to www.run4geelong.com.au and create a team. Let your school community know the team name, and participants can simply search for your school during registration and join the team.
All teams are automatically entered into the Community Cup and have the chance to share in a $5,000 prize pool.
If I am part of a school, do I need to wear my school uniform?
No uniform is required—we encourage everyone to wear their official Run4Geelong event t-shirt.
I would like to register my workplace. What's the best way?
Head to www.run4geelong.com.au and create a team during the registration process. Share the team name with your colleagues so they can search for and join your workplace team.
All teams are automatically entered into the Community Cup and have the chance to share in a $5,000 prize pool.
Race Pack, Bib & T-Shirt Collection
When will I receive my event t-shirt?
Your event t-shirt will be included in your race pack with your race bib. Your pack will either be posted to you or be available for collection from Wednesday 4 November.
Please choose your t-shirt size carefully during registration, as sizes cannot be exchanged.
Please note: Only the first 8,000 registered participants will receive a free event t-shirt.
Pre-Event Race Pack Collection
Location:
192 Myers St, Geelong (next to St Mary's Hall, entry via the ramp)
Opening Hours
- Wednesday 4 November: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
- Thursday 5 November: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
- Friday 6 November: 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Saturday 7 November: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Please note race packs and t-shirts will only be available during these times.
Event Day Collection
Race packs can be collected from 6:00am until 30 minutes before your race at the Registration Tent within the Event Village on Ritchie Blvd.
Postage
Postage must be selected and paid for during registration.
If you did not purchase postage, you will need to collect your race pack during the collection times above.
Packs will be mailed in early November.
Postage is only available until the 2nd of October. Registrations received after this date must collect their race pack in person.
What does my race pack include?
Your race pack includes:
- Run4Geelong event t-shirt
- Race bib
- Four safety pins
Can someone else collect my race bib?
Yes, provided they have a copy of your registration confirmation.
Where is my timing chip?
The timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib for the Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and 3km events.
The 1km Kids Dash is not timed.
I've collected my race pack. What do I do now?
You're ready to go! Attach your race bib to the front of your Run4Geelong t-shirt and get ready to race.
I've misplaced my race bib. What should I do?
Please email foundation@barwonhealth.org.au to arrange a replacement. A replacement fee will apply.
Event Day
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 45–60 minutes before your race start.
A detailed event schedule will be released closer to the event.
Is parking available?
Yes. Public parking is available throughout the Geelong Waterfront precinct.
Please allow extra time for parking and road closures.
Will there be road closures?
Yes. Temporary road closures will be in place to ensure participant safety.
Road closure information will be published before the event.
Is there a bag drop facility?
Yes. A bag drop service will be available.
Please clearly label your bag and attach the bag tag from your race bib.
Please note organisers are not responsible for lost items. We recommend keeping money and valuables with you at all times.
Will there be toilets?
Yes. Public amenities and additional event toilets will be available within the Event Village.
Will water stations be available?
Yes. Water stations will be located along the course and at the finish line.
Can I wear headphones?
For safety reasons, we discourage participants from wearing headphones during the event.
Can I bring my pram?
Yes. Prams are welcome.
Please start at the back of your event to help minimise congestion.
Remember, all participants—including babies and toddlers in prams—must be registered.
Can I ride my bike or scooter?
No. Bikes, scooters and other recreational equipment are not permitted on the course.
Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes. Limited food and beverages will be available within the Post-Race Precinct, including a coffee van, sausage sizzle and sweet treats.
Will I receive a medal?
All participants who complete their event will receive a commemorative Run4Geelong finisher medal.
Where can I view my results after the event?
Results will be published in the Geelong Advertiser on Monday 9 November.
Results will also be available online via Tomato Timing.

Can I volunteer at Run4Geelong?
Yes! Volunteers play a vital role in the success of Run4Geelong.
