Run4Geelong wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers.

Each year, hundreds of volunteers come together to help create an unforgettable event experience for thousands of participants while supporting Barwon Health and healthcare services across our region.

Whether you're looking to give back to the community, support a great cause, meet new people or gain event experience, we'd love to have you join the Run4Geelong volunteer team.

Why Volunteer?

As a Run4Geelong volunteer, you'll:

• Support one of Geelong's largest community events
• Help raise awareness and support for Barwon Health
• Meet like-minded people from across the community
• Gain valuable event and customer service experience
• Enjoy being part of a fun, energetic and rewarding event

No previous experience is required. Training and briefing information will be provided prior to your volunteer shift.

Race Day Volunteer Opportunities

A variety of Race Day volunteer roles are available, including:

• Course Marshals
• Water Station Attendants
• Start & Finish Line Support
• Participant Information & Wayfinding
• Colour Stations
• Medal Distribution
• General Event Support

Volunteer shifts vary throughout the day, with opportunities available for individuals, community groups, sporting clubs and corporate teams.

Pre-Race Volunteer Opportunities

Can't make it on Race Day? There are still plenty of ways to get involved.

Pre-event volunteer opportunities may include:

• Flyer and promotional material distribution
• Race bib collection support
• Race pack preparation
• Event setup support

Volunteer Requirements

To volunteer at Run4Geelong, you must:

• Be reliable and enthusiastic
• Be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Be physically capable of undertaking your chosen role
• Be at least 16 years of age, or accompanied by a parent/guardian if under 16
