Participants may be offered the option to purchase Refund Protection at the time of registration. Refund Protection is a third‑party product provided by our registration platform, Race Roster, and is intended to cover eligible situations where a participant is unable to attend the event due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or injury, etc.

Sport Northland will only offer a partial refund in the case of a cancellation. This no‑refund policy applies to all registrations and is clearly stated in the waiver.

Where Refund Protection has been purchased, any refund request or claim is managed directly between the participant and Race Roster in accordance with their terms and conditions. Sport Northland is not involved in the assessment, approval, or processing of Refund Protection claims.

Refund Protection is only available to participants who pay at the time of registration. Participants who receive a complimentary entry, or who pay later by invoice are not eligible to purchase Refund Protection and are not entitled to any refund under any circumstances.

Sport Northland reserves the right to cancel the event at any time. Cancellation may occur for reasons including, but not limited to, situations where Sport Northland determines, in its sole discretion, that cancellation is necessary due to dangerous or unsafe conditions, an outbreak of communicable disease, natural disaster, acts of war, terrorism, government restrictions, or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the event organiser.

In the event of cancellation, active entrants may be eligible to receive a refund of up to 50% of their entry fee.
For the purposes of this policy, active entrants are participants who have not withdrawn from the event at the time the cancellation is announced.

The final refund amount (if any), up to a maximum of 50%, will be determined by Sport Northland based on costs already incurred in delivering the event. This assessment will ensure that Sport Northland is not financially disadvantaged by the cancellation.

No additional compensation will be provided, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, or other associated costs incurred by participants.
