Welcome to the JCYC College Access Department Page!

Join us for JCYC’s 13th Annual SF Aloha Run on Sunday, September 24th. The 5k, 10k, and Keiki Run will take place at Crissy Field, located in San Francisco. The virtual race will run from Sunday, September 24th, through Sunday, October 1st.

Titled SF Aloha Run For Hope, this year's run is focused on the future and young people who will one day be our community leaders. This is a unique opportunity for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to be a part of an uplifting and healthy activity that promotes a better future for children and youth of all backgrounds.

Our goal is to contribute to a movement by engaging runners and walkers across the country in lifting up positive messages of hope. The 2023 SF Aloha Run For Hope is a platform for all of us to educate and lead by example through individual acts of kindness and compassion. All participants will receive a distinctive race technical t-shirt and medal.

Proceeds from the 2023 SF Aloha Run for Hope will support JCYC’s scholarship programs which support young people in pursuing higher education. This year, we are excited to announce that the majority of the funds raised from the run will be used for our Scholarships: 

•Julie Matsueda Believe Scholarship 

•Excellence Scholarship

•Pathways 529 Plan Scholarship

•Thomatra Scott Scholarship

Because of the wildfires on Maui, we will also be donating a portion of the proceeds from this year's SF Aloha Run event to the Hawai'i People's Fund: Maui Aloha The People's Response. Hawai‘i People’s Fund supports passionate, grassroots community groups working for social justice in Hawai‘i and was a beneficiary of the 2021 SF Aloha Run For Solidarity. Please consider donating directly to their fund at: hawaiipeoplesfund.org
