Raise money for Empowering Epilepsy
Empowering Epilepsy connects people with epilepsy to experts and peers for education, care, and friendship. We anchor a caring community that empowers our members and their loved ones to better understand and manage their treatment plan throughout their epilepsy journey.
Despite the fact that 1 in 26 people will eventually be diagnosed with epilepsy at some point in their lifetime - the vast majority of those with epilepsy feel isolated and alone. They have never met or talked with anyone else who also experiences epilepsy, and they find few resources and help outside of their neurologist’s office.
Empowering Epilepsy was founded in 2014 by people with epilepsy, for people with epilepsy, to meet this dire need for learning, emotional, and disease management support.
We strive to help people with epilepsy find proactive ways to lessen their seizures, meet others who are also living with epilepsy, listen and speak with experts, and discover resources and opportunities to empower their lives. Our ultimate goal is to anchor a global community of support and learning for our members and their loved ones.

Walk or run to help us change the conversation about epilepsy and show people living with seizures what they can do.
Since 2014, Empowering Epilepsy has been running innovative, results-driven programs and events throughout Northeastern Ohio to enable people with epilepsy to take charge of their lives.
Approximately 65,000 people in Northeastern Ohio have seizures, while many more have these symptoms that remain undiagnosed. 1 in 10 people will experience a seizure in their lifetime, and 1 in 26 people will be diagnosed with epilepsy.
Epilepsy has remained a hidden disease that people do not talk about because it involves losing control. The lack of knowledge in the general public causes embarrassment and isolation. We need people to learn more about the spectrum of seizures and support Empowering Epilepsy's free or low cost programs and services. Our programs are offered at low- or no cost, which we are only able to provide thanks to your support.
Run, Walk, Donate and Fundraise for Empowering Epilepsy to help us change the conversation about epilepsy and seizures in Northeast Ohio. We need your support to help show people what they can do while living with epilepsy! Thank you!!
