NO CHANGE at present, at at 8pm we are a GO as we took the decision at 8pm, as advertised. The weather is changing hourly. We are going ahead as planned.
If lightening starts within 30 mins of any race start we MUST delay and wait for storm to pass, we need to give a clear 30 minutes for safety as this is our Priority.
Plan as usual for an On Time start.

Race Kit Pickup
Race Kit pick up is Friday 31st May

Race Kits can be picked up on Event Day at 7-7:30am ONLY
*T-Shirts have been allocated to the first 500 orders placed during registration, size cannot be guaranteed.
You can pick up race kits for other runners/walkers but you MUST BRING Proof of their race confirmation, and sign for it.

Parking and Shuttle Buses
NO PARKING AT START LINE and we encourage carpooling, cycling and taking public transport to the event.
Parking and shuttle buses available at 16 Mile Sports Complex Parking Lot (3070 Neyagawa Blvd, Oakville, ON L6M 4L6). Regular shuttle buses will run from 6am for all volunteers, runners and walkers. There are no buses 10-11am, either direction.
Shuttle Bus Route is a loop with 2 stops - Sixteen Mile Creek - St Volodymyr's Cultural Centre
WALKERS, 1km and Tots Events - Be on the bus BEFORE 8am
RUNNERS - Be on the bus BEFORE 9am
Event Day Registration
There is NO event day registration for any of the events, if they are SOLD OUT / FULL online
Route Map, Start and Finish Lines
All Races Start Line & Finish Line: St Volodymyr Cultural Centre (1280 Dundas St West,Oakville, L6M 4H).
No parking available at SVCC, access to the site is on foot or via shuttle bus from 16 Mile Sports Complex Parking Lot (3070 Neyagawa Blvd, Oakville, ON L6M 4L6). See Parking and Shuttle information above.

1k Route and 100m Tots Trot will be on the field at St Volodymyr's Cultural Centre.
Route Marshals will be supervised by Lion's Valley Athletics - many thanks to the club for working alongside us since 2016
Inclement Weather and Race Cancellations
We will email all registrants and publish updates ( website, on FB and on Twitter) relating to Race cancellation due to inclement weather no less than 12 hours before the event start time. 8pm Friday 31st Announcement.
**Note registration fees cannot be returned if the race is cancelled**
School's Challenge
The challenge is open to all Elementary and High Schools*. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are awarded based on the top three fastest times for the School Team.
A prize will be awarded to 1st Place Elementary and 1st Place High School
If your Elementary or High School name is not available to select, please email info@run4LH.com with details of your School Name.
*Minimum of 3 school teams are required for the challenge and minimum of 3 finish times for each team
Post Run BBQ
Registration fee includes a post run BBQ (Canadian Pea Meal Bacon on a bun, Sausages, Hot Dogs and Vegetarian Options)!
We work on the basis of an honesty system, the BBQ is for participants as part of their registration fee.
Event day visitors and supporters are encouraged to make a donation if they join in the BBQ.
FAQs
Can I drop off children at the Race Start?
- Parents/Guardians MUST PARK at Sixteen Mile Creek Arena and accompany children on the shuttle bus to the 5K start at St. Volodymyr’s. Unattended children are not the responsibility of Race Director, Volunteers or The Lighthouse for Grieving Children.

Can dogs come to the event?
- All dogs must be on a leash, all responsibility for dog's behaviour lies with the dog owner, owners must clean up after their dog
Is the route suitable for strollers?
- The route is not suitable for strollers and the volume of runners will make it unsafe for stroller use
Can I wear headphones while I run?
- We advise that you do not wear headphones

- Organised and well-marked route through Lion's Valley trail system
- Run 4 Lighthouse medal for all finishers of the 5km events, ribbon for the 1km and Tots Trot event

Processing Fees
All entries are subject to a standard Race Roster processing fee which is not included in the fees listed above.
Water Stations
Water Station is located approximately half way through the 5k route. Water is also available at the start and finish line.

Accessibility Requests
All access to St Volodymyr Cultural Centre is on our shuttle buses (School Buses) supplied by Attridge Transport. These are not accessible for wheelchairs, if you know that you need to access to SVCC in other transport please email info@run4lh.com and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Event Location
Oakville parks and open space are well known in the GTA. The scenic trails above the Lion's Valley park are part of the Sixteen Mile Creek Trail system. They are a popular recreational destination for residents and visitors to Oakville. First Aid
First Aid is available from St John's Ambulance and support from Club Physio Plus.
Toilets
Portable toilets are conveniently located at the event site, at St Volodymyr's Cultural Centre.
Waste & Recycling
Please dispose of your waste responsibility and use the black, blue (recycling) and green (food and compostable waste) bins provided on site.
Fundraising & Prize Details
Movie Vouchers for all participants who raise $25.
These will be emailed at the end of each calendar month. No expiry date. One time voucher, one per person.
Prize Draws to be made at the Run4LH event after the race and fundraising results are announced. Prize Draw for Film.Ca 'Fill a Theatre' experience and 'Royal Caribbean Cruise' is a random draw (no ticket sales) from all eligible names. Eligibility is based on fundraising benchmarks for each prize, based on online fundraising totals per individual or team fundraising page as at 9pm Friday 31st May.
Is my Team eligible for the Fill a Theatre Film.Ca experience?
Every School Team (High School or Elementary School), and every Non-School Team (Corporate and Non-Corporate Teams) that reaches a minimum of $1000 on their Team Pledge Page is eligible to be entered into a random draw to win a 'Fill a Theatre' experience. Team Captain (or delegate) must be present to claim prize. $1000 eligibility is based on online Fundraising numbers as at 9pm Friday 31st May. Terms & Conditions: Film Choice and Date for redemption to be agreed with Film.Ca management, and is based on availability. Does not include food or beverages. Redemption time must be for earliest showing on the agreed date.
Am I eligible for the Royal Caribbean Cruise random draw?
- Every individual who raises a minimum of $100 to their Individual Pledge Page is eligible to be entered into a random draw (no ticket sales) to win a 4-5 night cruise from Royal Caribbean. Draw to be made at Run4LH event after race and fundraising results are announced. $100 eligibility is based on individual pledge page totals at 9pm Friday 31st May. Winner must be present to claim prize.
- The cruise may only be redeemed by individuals 18+ years of age. If the winner does not meet age criteria the cruise is transferrable.
What are the Terms & Conditions for the Royal Caribbean Cruise prize?
4-5 Nights Caribbean Cruise, September to April
• Rates are for two people based on double occupancy, balcony.
• Certificate rate, are inclusive of the cruise fare, taxes and fees, and standard recommended gratuities
• Blackout dates (Christmas and New Years Week) apply to all certificates.
Please note: Certificates have no expiration date. Certificates redeemed more than two years after the issue date will provide the holder of the certificate with a dollar credit amount against the cost of their cruise. The dollar credit amount will be based on the value for that type of certificate as shown in the Royal Caribbean price table in effect at the time the certificate was purchased.
• Certificate rates are for two people based on double occupancy. Each purchase includes two certificates (one per person) and both must be applied to the same cruise reservation. Certificate rates are inclusive of the cruise fare, taxes and fees, and standard recommended gratuities . Additional cost for 3rd and 4th guests at the prevailing rate for the sailing.All certificate levels exclude Oasis Class ships and Spectrum of the Seas
• Certificates can be upgraded or applied to a different sailing at time of redemption (recipient pays difference between certificate value and lowest fare publicly available from the cruise line at the time of redemption). No money is refunded if lower cost sailing is booked.
• Certificates are nonrefundable and not replaceable if lost, stolen or damaged.
• The two certificates issued per purchase must be submitted together at time of redemption and at least seven (7) business days prior to the sail date.
