BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and current restrictions on the community set by the State of North Carolina we have made the decision to host the 6th annual Fight the Good Fight Run/Walk as a virtual event this year. We felt for the health and safety of staff, volunteers, participants, spectators and supporters this was the best option at this time. What does that mean? As a virtual event it allows you the walker or runner to support the event by completing any distance, anytime, anywhere. We are going to leave registration open through the entire month of May to allow you to participated at your convenience. The original May 16, 2020 race date will now transition into a drive through packet pickup opportunity. The specifics will be release at a later date. The changes we are making for 2020 will be for only this year. The 2021 event will return to a live event and will be better than ever. We would like to thank our sponsors and partners as we make these necessary changes for this year.

As a virtual runner you have the opportunity to share and submit your results. The link below provides all the instructions for submitting your results if you so choose. "Life is what pushes me"
The month of May was chosen because May is national brain cancer awareness month (Silver ribbon). The distance of 7k was chosen because Michel passed in July. The 1.7 mile distance optional turnaround was chosen because the number 17 was Michel's lucky number, which you will also see consistently on race bibs. Michel's family has been very active in the Huntersville community for years.
