"Hinds’ Feet Farm is dedicated to serving persons living with brain injury. Our mission is to maximize the post injury potential of persons living with brain injury with integrated, unique and holistic programs; allowing our members to pursue meaningful activities while developing a sense of belonging at home and in the surrounding communities. We will accomplish this mission with unique, person-centered, post-rehabilitation, community-based programs."



"The mission of Unmasking Brain Injury is to promote awareness of the prevalence of brain injury; to give survivors a voice and the means to educate others of what it’s like to live with a brain injury; to show others that persons living with a disability due to their brain injury are like anyone else, deserving of dignity, respect, compassion and the opportunity to prove their value as citizens in their respective communities."

Cancer does not discriminate. It doesn’t care about age, race, religion or anything else— and it certainly doesn’t care if you’re a college student. In fact, many of the 72,000 individuals between the ages of 15 and 39 diagnosed with cancer every year are students; today, it’s estimated that one of every 100 college students is a cancer survivor. The good news is that college students facing cancer can find a wealth of support, from understanding teachers to accommodations and support groups. This guide is for those trying to pursue their dream of higher education— despite their battle with the Big C.

Helping you and your family cope with cancer

When you come to our Novant Health Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center, you’re entering a space designed to help you and your family in the time following a diagnosis. The center is in a comfortable, home-like setting close to the Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center campus, near uptown Charlotte. At the center you'll find special programs and support, as well as services that aim to help you look and feel your best. For example, the Lending Boutique is filled with wigs for women who are beginning treatment.

Services are provided by a team of counselors and case managers who are specially trained to treat cancer; they provide individual and family counseling, support groups and special events, educational programs, financial resource guidance, a resource library, and a lending boutique with beautiful wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair due to chemo treatments.
