Sinister 7 Ultra Final Update - Redux
Hi |*FIRST_NAME*|,
The race is so close, you can almost taste it. There are some important updates below about this weekend. I'll keep it brief!

WEATHER FORECAST
It is going to be a hot week, so take steps to keep yourself cool during the race:
- Bring and drink lots of fluids
- Our aid station water is for drinking, not splashing on yourself - please use creeks to cool down - every time someone bathes with it, it takes away water from the next person!
- Bring a neck cooling towel or something similar and soak it at every creek
- Bring ice in a cooler if you can (I know it's hard to keep it cool the whole day)
- On that note, our ice supply is limited - we are trying to provide it for everyone, but if 500 people want ice at the same time, we will run out quickly, and it's hard to get in a small town. We are already stockpiling.
- Wear a hat and cover your skin the best you can
- Have your own bladder/flask/cup - our aid stations are cupless
- If you bring a dog, do not leave them in your vehicle! We're generally pet-friendly, but they cannot be on the course with you.
FLAGGING
Here is a quick video showing the types of flagging we use on the course.
PHOTOGRAPHERS
We will have photographers all over the course, and you get complementary social media-sized images for free. It usually takes us about a week to sort through the 10,000+ images, so please be patient. Our goal is to get a photo of everyone on every leg (within reason).
Unfortunately, two of our six photographers bailed out on us today, so our coverage may be hampered, unless we can find suitable replacements. If you know of any photographers who will be at the race and have time on Sunday, send them my way! They do get paid (I know they will ask).
We don't normally do a call-out to our racers like this, but it's hard to find enough good photographers in a rural area, and we want to provide great results, so we're looking for new options.
MANDATORY LEG 2 SHUTTLE
One more reminder... Leg 2 Relay runners have a mandatory shuttle from the start area to TA1. We do this in order to relieve congestion. There is almost no parking at TA1, and it gets to be a bit of a madhouse, so do not drive up there. Support crews for soloists can drive up, but they will be parking on the side of the road. Once the leg 1 runners come in, the buses will return when full.
See you soon! Taper time!
Kindest regards,
Brian Gallant
