An organization deeply committed to supporting current and future underrepresented minority medical students.
In SNMA, our focus is on supporting the professional and academic development of current and future underrepresented minority medical students, directly addressing the needs of underserved communities, and increasing the number of clinically excellent, culturally competent, and socially conscious physicians. We accomplish this mission by hosting mentorship events and on-campus tours with undergraduate students attending local HBCUs, coordinating outreach and STEM events with local high school students., providing study materials, MCAT books, and mock exams to pre-med and current medical students, providing health screenings at community health fairs, and organizing networking events with practicing physicians in the area.
We are excited to highlight SNMA as one of the additional student organizations receiving funds from Tiger Run 5K to support their ongoing community service efforts! Every step you take in the race helps us continue our work of empowering students and making a real difference in underserved communities!
