Our Story

Spinal Cord Injury BC connects people with spinal cord injuries and related physical disabilities with the support, peer mentorship, community events, and resources they need to live well. We're dedicated to helping people with a new injury, their families, and those faced with the challenges of living and aging with a disability.

Description

This year, we are proud to make Brad Jacobsen our honourary team captain. As many members of our community know, we lost Brad in February 2021 and we were deeply saddened by his passing. Brad was not only a former SCI BC Peer Program Coordinator but a caring mentor and a champion for living life to the fullest. He also captained Team SCI BC for two years in a row, back when we first started racing. As a tribute to Brad, we will be racing in his honour and know that his legacy will be continued.
