If I am running the Virtual Race, how do I submit results?
We will send a link for you to upload your results before the virtual race window begins at the end of November. Please run run your race during the virtual race window which is open from November 30th through December 7th.

What is the Registration Limit for both events?
Registration cap of 2500 for the 10k, 100 for the 1k kids event, and 100 for each of the virtual races. This is a hard cap and we will have start waves to ensure a great race experience for all.
What are the processing fees that I'm charged with my registration?
Race Roster collects a fee on all transactions (processing fees) — this is an industry standard. Their team assists our race from beginning to end, and this fee allows them to provide meaningful customer support to all participants, covers merchant costs of processing the transaction, the technology costs of developing an online registration platform, includes event cancellation protection for participants in the case of an emergency, and ensures that the online race experience is seamless for all.
What are the age requirements? How old must I be on Race Day?
The minimum age for our 10k race is 12 years old. We encourage any kids under age 12 to participate in our 1k Kids Race.
If I live outside of Canada, can I register for the event?
Yes. International visitors who will be in Toronto on race day are welcome to register and participate.
If the race is cancelled for any reason, will we be refunded our entry fee?
In the case of an in-person race cancellation, participants will have the opportunity to participate virtually and receive their running beanie and commemorative finisher medal. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-deferrable. That means that once the money is received and accepted, participants will not receive a refund and will not be able to defer their entry to another year.
Do you have a pregnancy or postpartum deferral option?
Yes, we permit deferrals for pregnant or postpartum runners. Please reach out to info@blacktoeholiday10km.com for more information.
Can I cancel my registration?
Race entries are non-refundable and non-deferrable, as noted in the waiver during registration. However, you can transfer your registration to another participant through Race Roster.
Can I transfer my registration to another participant?
Yes, participants can transfer their registration until Sunday, November 30th at 9:00 p.m. EST through the Race Roster platform. To transfer your registration to another person, visit the Event Page and click the 'Transfer' button on the left-hand menu. There is a $10 administrative fee to transfer to another participant.
What is the design of the exclusive Holiday 10k Beanie and commemorative medal?
The design will be shared via our social media in October.
Will I receive a charitable tax receipt?
Donations of $20 or more made to Centre 55 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. These will be issued automatically once transactions are complete.
Does the event support a charity?
Yes, this event is a fundraiser for Centre 55 which is a community-based organization catering to the needs of Toronto’s east end. Funds raised will go to Centre 55’s Share-A-Christmas Program. This program helps over 1200 families, seniors, and individuals at that are experiencing hard times during the holiday season. Funds will go towards purchasing the items below:
- Grocery gift cards for families, seniors, and individuals
- Toys to children ages 0-12 years old
- Gifts and gift cards for teens ages 13- 16 years old
When is Race Kit Pickup?
Kit pickup will take place the Wednesday through Saturday of race week (December 3-6) at BlackToe stores in Toronto. Detailed kit pickup information will be available in late November.
Please note: Race day pickup is ONLY available to participants who reside outside the Greater Toronto Area. Race day pickup will be open from 7:30-8:30 a.m. prior to the race.
How do I get my Virtual Race Kit?
Virtual kits will be mailed to the address provided at registration by November 30th.
RACE DAY
What time should I show up on race day?
We recommend arriving 45 minutes before your scheduled race start time. Start times can be found here.
What are the corrals?
Corral assignments are made based on your estimated finish time.
Corral 1: Under 45:00
Corral 2: 45:00 to 54:59
Corral 3: 55:00 to 64:59
Corral 4: 65:00 and above
Will there be baggage check available on race day?
Yes, bag check will be offered near the start line. Bags must be collected after the race by 11:00 a.m.
Will there be a water station on course?
Yes! Runners will pass through a water station at the 3.5k and 6.5k markers.
Is there water at the finish line?
Water will be available at the post-race hydration station near the finish line.
Is there food at the finish line?
Yes, participants will have access to snacks and refreshments in the post-race area.
Are there washrooms at the start line?
Yes, there will be washrooms available at the start line.
Is there a course time limit for the races?
Yes, the time limits for each race are listed below:
1k: 15 minute time limit
10k: 105 minute time limit
Will the events be timed?
Yes! Both events will be timed by Enfield Timing.
Will strollers be allowed on course?
Strollers will be permitted for the 1k distance and for the 10k distance. For the 10k, we ask that anyone running with a stroller start at back of the green corral for the safety of all participants.
Can I participate with a support person?
Yes! Support participants will register using the online registration system. They can participate at no cost if they forgo the race kit and medal, complete the waiver and wear a GUIDE bib on front and back. They can also simply register and run with you. Can I run as an Elite?
If you wish to be considered for an Elite entry, please submit a qualifying time to info@blacktoeholiday10km.com before November 1st. Find out all the details about elite entries here.
