What is Predictive Tracking?
Predictive Tracking gives your participants and spectators the opportunity to track a participant’s progress along a race course with no time-consuming app download or login needed. It provides real-time estimations for when a participant will reach pre-determined race splits, and ultimately complete their race.
Predictive tracking works by utilizing a participant’s split times to predict their pace, position on the course, and finish time.

Tracking adds a new dimension to including spectators in your event. Spectators can now follow the progress of their family and friends as they watch them achieve their goals. Live Tracking can expand your event’s reach and engage a larger community including running enthusiasts, and those curious about the sport. Who knows, by engaging a new population of people who may have never been exposed to your event before, they may even catch the bug and register for your next event!
Quickly & easily track one, or multiple participants
Predictive Tracking is hosted on the Race Roster platform, so there’s no app download necessary, and you have one place to direct participants and spectators to for tracking and results.
For quick, in-the-moment navigation, spectators can head to the Race Roster event page to navigate to the results. From there, simply search by bib number or name to find the participant, and follow (literally!). Spectators can even track multiple participants and navigate between them from the ‘following’ tab – so they can keep track of all of their friends and family!
