Making Strides | Estimated Read time – 5:03

Our first quarter Making Strides edition is here! This is your quarterly recap of Race Roster’s most noteworthy updates, releases, and valuable content from this past quarter.

1 – Search bar revamp

Organized, clean, and easier to navigate. Three words to summarize our event search bar updates!

Finding the event you’re looking for is now easier with upcoming events being arranged by date, as well as moving past, demo, and draft events to a separate screen that’s linked from the search bar.

We’re sharing just a peek of what those changes look like, and you can log into Race Roster now to experience the event search bar updates for yourself!

2 – Flexible event + results page branding options

We released new branding options to further help you differentiate your results pages from the event page!

Our new ‘theme’ toggle feature gives you great looking, and accessible results pages with the flip of a toggle.

When turned off, Race Roster’s default color scheme will be applied, giving you a quick and easy option you can always rely on.

3 – Google & Yahoo: New email sender verification requirements

Google and Yahoo have announced new requirements for those who send bulk emails – and they apply regardless of the email provider you use!

We know understanding how they might apply to you can be a challenge.

So we’ve created a resource to simplify:

  • How to know if your email delivery will be impacted,
  • What the new requirements are, and
  • What you can do

4 –  Auto-update status of results

Timers! It’s no coincidence ‘time’ is in your title, with it always being in short supply. And, that’s why we created an update that will save you more of it!

Now, automate when results on Race Roster are considered official.

Once your initial results have been shared on Race Roster, you likely want to provide a window of time for adjustments to be made, when results are considered ‘unofficial’.

With this new feature, set the date and time you’d like to close this window, and our system will automate the removal of the unofficial disclaimer to make results official for you!

4 – Participant list updates

We made three updates to our participant list for a more streamlined user experience:

  1. Now when you land on your event’s participant list, a default report will automatically generate, removing the need to scroll and click to view participant data.

  2. Data filter options have been moved to a new right hand menu, giving you better visibility so you can view your participants and update filters without scrolling.

  3. A search bar has been added to data filters, so you can easily find, add, and remove columns from your participant search – and save your search fields as a template for future use!

These changes have already been implemented, so login to Race Roster to experience the updated features for yourself!

5 –  Tips & tricks content

This quarter, we released a variety of tips & tricks content! Learn about how to take your event to the next level this year, the power of user-generated content, event branding and more!

ICYMI: ASICS Move Her Mind Report

In 2022, ASICS completed their State of Mind Index study that uncovered that women, especially young women, are exercising significantly less than men.

To better understand the issue, and help close the gender exercise gap, ASICS conducted a second study that included nearly 25,000 people globally.

Overall, the results reveal that women are facing multiple barriers to exercise across their lifetimes.

So, how are people breaking those barriers? Read more at the #MoveHerMind hub:

Race Roster

At our core, we are event organizers and athletes serving event organizers and athletes. Race Roster was founded by a group of friends with combined interests in running, technology, and event management. After organizing their own 10K in 2010, it was very apparent that the running industry was in dire need of better technology. Since May of 2012, Race Roster has partnered with over 4,000 organizers to grow, manage and execute on race day!
