Tips & Tricks | Estimated Read time – 2:24

2022 has arrived! The start of a new year is a great time to set new goals. Before establishing this year’s objectives, it can be beneficial to take a look at what went well last year and pinpoint areas for improvement.

You can review a variety of event metrics on Race Roster to reflect on what you accomplished last year and set up for success in 2022.

1. Payout reports

Event payout report

With the event payout report, you can review and export every payout distributed across one or all of your events in 2021. Simply adjust the date range to view the full year report!

Fundraising payout report

Additionally, you can view and download statements covering all payouts made to each fundraising organization.

2. Event metrics

The event metrics dashboard allows you to see a detailed overview of your event.

Stat comparisons

You can even select which past event you’d like to compare your current event’s progress to! If you select last year’s event, you will be able to see a percentage on a variety of stats, indicating how ahead or behind your current stat is in comparison to last year.

For example, your total registration revenue may display “X% increase compared to Seawater Stride [2021].” Comparisons are available for a variety of stats covering revenue generated through registrations, fundraising, products & merchandise, and promo codes.

Year-over-year charts

The event metrics dashboard also contains year-over-year charts, allowing you to see a line graph comparing progress across multiple event years.

On these charts, you can view:

  • Year-over-year registrations
  • Year-over-year revenue
  • Year-over-year swag revenue
  • Year-over-year donations

3. Donation receipts

To see a list of all donation receipts, visit the donation receipts dashboard! You can filter results by a specific time period and select which fundraising organizations will be included in your list.

You can also re-send donation receipts from this page using the actions dropdown. This is especially useful around tax time in case  donors request receipts for past donations.

4. Staff access settings

The start of a new year is a great time to clean up your staff access settings! You may want to remove staff members who are no longer with your organization or don’t require access this year.

You can select “delete” or “suspend” from the actions menu on each applicable member.

5. Financial Summary

The financial summary is another great way to compare event progress, view detailed financial breakdowns, and export data. This custom summary offers a side-by-side visual, allowing you to compare details across multiple events!

When setting up your summary, you can select which events you’d like to compare and handpick the information you’d like to be displayed in your summary. This could be participant counts, online and offline revenue, payout totals, and more. It’s completely up to you! There is also no limit on how many events you can include in your comparison.

We wish you the best of luck in achieving your 2022 business goals. If you require any assistance at all, please don’t hesitate to resource us!

Race Roster

At our core, we are event organizers and athletes serving event organizers and athletes. Race Roster was founded by a group of friends with combined interests in running, technology, and event management. After organizing their own 10K in 2010, it was very apparent that the running industry was in dire need of better technology. Since May of 2012, Race Roster has partnered with over 4,000 organizers to grow, manage and execute on race day!
