We are excited to share the latest updates to Results V3, designed to enhance the experience for timers, participants, and spectators alike. Since launching V3, we’ve been listening closely to your feedback and have rolled out several improvements to make the platform even more intuitive and user-friendly. These updates focus on delivering a more streamlined, accessible, and visually appealing experience for everyone involved in your events.

This post will walk you through the key changes we’ve implemented. You’ll learn how we’ve made leaderboards more flexible for timers, refined navigation for participants, and set the stage for even more powerful features to come.

1 – An enhanced experience for timers

We understand that timers need a platform that is both powerful and easy to use, especially on race day. The latest updates to Results V3 are designed to address your most common feedback and make managing results more efficient.

Here are the key improvements for timers:

  • Expanding leaderboard for large monitors: Originally designed for smaller laptop screens, leaderboards now dynamically expand to fill large, widescreen monitors. Leaderboards will now expand as wide as they need to for all columns, up to the size of your monitor’s viewport.
  • Accessible results inquiries button: We’ve added a results inquiries button to the bottom of every results v3 page, making it easy to spot so participants can connect with you with ease.
  • Improved branding banner display: Adjustments have been made to ensure branding banners display correctly without being cut off or stretched, maintaining a professional image for you and your sponsors.

2 – A refined view for participants and spectators

A great race experience extends beyond the finish line. We’ve introduced several refinements to make viewing results more intuitive and engaging for everyone checking in on race day.

  • Optimized participant results details page: Key statistics on the participant results page are now prioritized “above the fold” on both mobile and desktop, ensuring critical information is immediately visible without excessive scrolling.
  • Enhanced mobile navigation: The hamburger menu and event-level participant search now automatically close upon navigation, resolving a previous issue where they remained open, thus providing a clearer and more seamless browsing experience, especially on mobile devices.
  • Simplified interaction with target areas: Accessing detailed information has been made more intuitive. Users can now click anywhere within a segment section to view details and anywhere on a participant’s row in the event-level search to navigate to their results, replacing previous smaller, less obvious click targets.

3 – More exciting updates on the horizon

We are committed to the continuous improvement of Results V3. Our team is already hard at work on the next set of features designed to further enhance usability and customization.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming soon:

  • Sticky name column and header row: To provide consistent context while scrolling through large leaderboards, we will be introducing the ability to freeze the header row and the participant name column. This will keep crucial information in view at all times.
  • New Settings for Results Branding: We will be adding more customization options to the results branding admin page. You’ll have access to enhanced specification templates and improved previews for image uploads, giving you more control over the look and feel of your results pages.

Thank you for your continued feedback, which is invaluable in helping us make Race Roster even more effective for everyone.
